Light-emitting plants like Plantern can be used to see through the ash clouds, or you can also use plants like Blover or Fanilla to blow away these ash clouds.
Five ash clouds the size of a 2×2 area will settle on random locations on the lawn, staying in place and obscuring the lawn for 30 seconds before disappearing. If there are any lava pools present in the column, the lava will stop flowing as soon as it reaches the lava pool, otherwise, it will flow until it reaches the bottom of the lawn. Lava will flow from the top of the lawn and down two random columns (usually the randomly chosen columns will not have any grass tiles on them), incinerating any non-flying plants (and moss) and zombies in the way. Other than the variation in tiles, Magma Marshlands may also occasionally have eruptions occurring from the volcano in the background, causing two things to happen: Found within the section of rock tiles, usually distributed as multiple groups of tiles. There are floating arrow-shaped rocks present on the ends of some of the lava pools in order to make sure zombies are diverted into another lane without walking into the lava (no plants (including flying plants) can occupy this tile). Lava tiles - Only flying plants and zombies can occupy or traverse these tiles. Found within the section of rock tiles, usually distributed as separate, individual tiles. Potato mine can also be planted on a scorched tile to turn it into a more powerful version of itself that stuns and damages zombies nearby (a Hothead). Scorched tiles - Damages and removes any chilling effects from zombies that step on them (10 DPS every 1.5 seconds), and only fire plants (or flying plants) can be planted on these. You can only plant terrestrial, non-underground plants on these tiles if you have used Moss-quito to cover these tiles in moss (flying plants, however, do not require this). Rock tiles - Not to be confused with rocks in Rock Beach, although these tiles act similarly to them. Grass tiles - Where you can normally plant terrestrial (and flying) plants. The lawn in Magma Marshlands has a various number of types of tiles (each of these tiles varying in numbers in each level): Zombies: Lost World, and the fifth area of the island, unlocked after completing Grove of Gloom’s level paths A and B (more about level paths here). Magma Marshlands is the sixth area in Plants vs.
